Why Some Freelance Writers Are Hard To Read

Your teacher just assigned a lot of reading materials—which was not a problem at all, since you love reading. However, for some reason, one of the reading materials assigned to you is just too hard to read. And mind you, it's only two pages. You even managed to read other essays with pages ranging from five to ten.

The problem may not lie entirely on you. Some essays are hard to read—this means that the writers write without the notion that they are writing for somebody, but for merely themselves. One time, I had to read an essay which was difficult to read since the author seems to have written it entirely for himself without the intention of being understood by other people.

It is said that writing jobs means self-expression. However, if the written output fails to communicate, self-expression is not possible. How do you express yourself if no one can understand what you wrote? You have to be understood, for this is the point of the communication process.
As a student, you can also apply this in the way that you write—writing to be understood is not only for novelists or essayists or poets. It does not matter whether you are writing papers of sorts such as term papers or college papers. You have to be understood. Some freelance writers are hard to read, for they seem otherwordly to the point that few people can actually find reasons to read them. Most of them get bad reviews—and so will you, if you don't write a paper which your teacher can understand.
